"Tracing the Rope" shows short film and production pics at Blanton Art Museum

The exhibit "Converging Lines: Eva Hesse and Sol LeWitt" is opening at the Blanton Museum of Art in Austin, Texas on February 23rd. The show celebrates the close friendship between two of the most significant American artists of the post-war era.

Director Marcie Begleiter and Producer Karen Shapiro have been invited to present material from the documentary "Tracing the Rope, Eva Hesse" on Saturday, Feb. 22nd from 2-3 pm at the museum.

Pictured here is artist Grace Wapner circa 1963 when she shared a loft with Eva and Tom Doyle, the sculptor whom was married to Hesse. This image is from a photo shoot done by photographer and Hesse friend Barbara Brown at Sol LeWitt's request. He used one of the photos from this shoot in his 'boxes' series. The photo is one of many previously unpublished pictures of Hesse and her circle that we will be using in the film. Come to the talk at the Blanton to see more!
